Easing into it

So apparently blogging consistently is a lot harder than I thought! 2 posts in almost a year = not cool! Time to step it up!

While I wasn't blogging I was busy teaching the year away, working out, buying a house and just generally trying to be the best person I can! As we started way back in September with goals we will begin there again.

Remainder of June goals:

1. Blog at least once a week.
2. Paint my living room
3. Make something nice for my husband (he might read this so I can't give the surprise away!)
4. Finish my barstool project
5. Create/find a blog organizer

I think we will keep ot between 3-5 goals. That is the magic number of rules for a classroom so maybe it will work for goals too!

Start with the end in sight

I have come to discover that I work best when I set goals and make myself lists. I have a school list, home list, shopping list, cleaning list, you name it I have a list for it. I don't know what I would do without these lists. I recently had a friend share with me that she makes monthly goals, mostly for nutrition and fitness, but it got me thinking why I use the lists. They are to help me reach my goals, but how do I know my goals unless I set them?!?!?! So this month I made myself some goals and I hope to will be reflecting on them here throughout the month. Some are school related, marriage focused, they pretty much cover anything I have a list for! Without further ado here they are!

September Goals
1. Drink only water, tea or lemonade (with water being the most)
2. Stick to my running program
3. Finish Plank Challenge
4. Remember that my husband too may be stressed
5. Lesson Plans done and prepped before I leave school on Friday for the next week.

So far I have only drank water and tea. I have only done one day of the running program and one day of the plank challenge.I am telling myself that with starting school and a funeral this week that this is a good starting point! I think my husband would agree that I haven't taken my stress out on him. My lesson plans are written for next week ready to be prepped tomorrow.

Tomorrow I will try to post my first photos of my lists!
